Why the Dominican?
We go to the Dominican Republic to come alongside the incredible work being done at the One Child Hope Center in Santiago; a place Freedom Church has the privilege of partnering with. Many from our church family sponsor children there, and this trip gives us the opportunity to meet those kids, build relationships, and see the impact of that support firsthand. Throughout the week, we’ll invest in the lives of the children and staff, serve in practical ways, and learn more about how One Child is bringing hope to the next generation in the D.R.

Eden
This will be Eden’s first time to the D.R.
”The main reason I’m going to the DR is because I want to experience what God is doing through us during these trips, I want to help the people at the DR, and love them like God loves them. I also want to know what it’s like over there I’m so used to America so I want to step out of my comfort zone and try something new, because I think going there will teach me to be more grateful for what I have and to remember that there are people out there who are struggling.
I think going on a missions trip at 14 is a big deal especially without my parents, and I belive that going to the DR is something God called me to do, and I’m really excited to go and, I can’t wait to be apart of this amazing adventure and I know it will impact me so much in life! “
Katie
Katie is returning to the Dominican Republic for the third time this year.
”It has been an excitement and joy to continue building relationships with the kids and volunteers at the Hope Center in Santiago! I feel like they are family, and I feel God moving within them and me, and I simply can't stay away. I see them growing and being shaped by God, and I believe I'm supposed to keep partnering with them and be a part of what God is up to in the D.R. I am also overjoyed to see our little guy, Yairon, whom we've supported through One Child since 2017.”
Jessa
This will be Jessa’s first time to the D.R.
”I have always felt drawn to mission trips. I had the opportunity to be a part of several teams near and far in my high school years, but since then, life has seemed far too busy with starting a family and career. There is something healing about humbling yourself to meet someone where they are and serve them in whatever they need. I hope to be an example to my own kids on how to show love to others. I hope to grow in humility myself and to get out of my comfort zone. Above all else, I hope to share Jesus’ love with others and become more aware of the circumstances of others.”
Sarah
This will be Sarah’s first time on the D.R. mission trip!
Brandie
This will be Brandie’s third time returning to the D.R.
“I am going to the DR to continue to be challenged in my faith and just lean into all that God is doing in and through me and the church. I want to continue to build relationships with the staff and children in the DR, including my sponsor child, Juan. It feels like visiting family, and a piece of my heart belongs there. I also want to continue to be humbled by the simplicity that the DR has to offer and not be so hurried or distracted by the things of this world. I am honored to be a part of what God is doing in and through me and the people of Freedom Church and across the globe. I want to lead my family and home with humility and grace and a desire to be more like Jesus and I believe stepping out of my comfort zone and seeing the other side of the world will help me continue to do so.”
Scott
This will be Scott’s third year returning to the D.R.
”Each time I go back to the D.R., it feels less like a mission trip and more like visiting family—the kids at the One Hope Center aren’t just faces I see once a year, they’ve become part of my heart. Knowing they look forward to us coming is one of the biggest honors, and every trip makes the bond deeper and more personal. It’s helped me learn how to step out of my own way and truly see others, not just go to serve and leave, but to show up to connect, to love, and to encourage what God is already doing in and through this ministry. I’m grateful I get to use my art to bring color and hope to their space—it’s a gift to leave something lasting in a place that’s had such a lasting impact on me.”
Ana
This will be Ana’s third year returning to the D.R.
“I miss my country. I miss seeing our sponsored child, Sophia, and I want to interact with the people in the organization.”
Why Alaska?
We go to Alaska because it’s one of the most unchurched regions in the world, and many communities there face deep struggles with poverty, addiction, and homelessness. This trip is an opportunity to come alongside local churches already doing powerful work on the ground in Wasilla and the surrounding areas. Through outreach, service projects, and tangible acts of love, we get to support and strengthen their efforts; bringing hope where it’s needed most.

“I'm so excited to be heading back to Alaska for the third time. Serving in Wasilla and Anchorage has opened my eyes to the real, everyday needs people face. From providing meals and clothing to helping stock the food pantry, I love being part of a team that shows up with compassion and practical support. It's a privilege to serve this community again.”
Todd

“I’m returning to Alaska to follow God’s call to serve the homeless and less fortunate. I’ll be partnering with Frontline Missions in Wasilla and the Hope Center in downtown Anchorage to provide support, compassion, and practical help to those in need. This mission is deeply rooted in my faith, and I believe God has placed this calling on my heart to make a difference in the lives of others. Through these partnerships, I hope to bring hope, healing, and encouragement to the communities I serve.”
Mike
This will be Mike’s second time returning to Alaska!
”Being as that Alaska is still part of the US, it still felt like a different country. It was very eye-opening to see all the need there. Just being able to serve at both Frontline Mission and The Hope Center to meet those needs, to serve others (my fellow mission team, as well), and showing God's love outside of where I live brings me so much joy. Having this opportunity has been a great experience for me, and how I see and feel about every single person around me.”
Pamela
This will be Pamela’s second time returning to Alaska!
”I’m honored to have this opportunity, and I’d love to return to Alaska to join our brothers and sisters there who are serving the people of Wasilla.
I would be grateful for your financial support and prayers as we once again demonstrate the love of Christ and meet the spiritual and physical needs of the community through Frontline Mission.
I look forward to sharing the kindness and compassion that Jesus shows me.
"…Here am I; send me." – Isaiah 6:8”
Jarred

”I went on my first mission trip to Alaska last year. Being there really made me see how Jesus loved people by serving them. I had opportunities to serve in many different ways and experience the beauty that God has made.“
Kendall
This is Kendall’s first time to Alaska!
”I strongly believe we must be the hands and feet of the church. Which means reaching the lost for God’s kingdom. We must feed the hungry and clothe the unclothed. We must go to the ends of the earth, teaching the good news of our Savior. Even though we help out here where we live, I believe we need to go further if we can. I’ve been on a few mission trips before, and I feel like this time is a calling to go to Alaska.”
Thomas
This is Thomas’ first time to Alaska!
”I’ve always had a passion for serving others. I had been considering going on a mission trip for some time. After praying on it, I felt that Alaska was the right choice for me.”
Irma
This is Irma’s first time to Alaska!
“I’m going on this Alaska mission trip because it is truly in my heart to serve and help others. To interact with people from all walks of life, there at the mission as well as the locals. To witness and to pray with them. And to deepen my relationship with God. I want to go each year and continue to serve. I look forward to working hard and being a part of this mission trip.”
Gerald
This is Gerald’s first time to Alaska!
“Serving in a different environment will challenge me to think about my faith in new ways and to grow closer to God. Alaska's unique setting can provide a fresh perspective on God's creation and the needs of people around the world. I’ll have the opportunity to connect with other mission team members and with the local community, fostering lasting friendships.”
Khristina
This is Khristina’s first time to Alaska!
“I found my church-home at Freedom Church in early 2024 and was baptized in April. Since I have volunteered in a variety of roles with our church and have found passion in serving. I’m excited to go where God has called me to and serve on our mission trip to Alaska!”
Kayla

“I am so excited to go to Alaska, this will be my 1st ever mission trip! I'm ready to step out of my comfort zone and share God’s love in a meaningful way! This trip is a chance to live out my faith in action. I'm eager to serve, grow, and let God work through me to bless those we encounter. ♡ Isaiah 6:8 “
